Laura Perry

Laura Nipe Perry is a passionate marketing and communications professional with more than 20 years of experience building and collaborating with unique and exciting brands.

For the past seven years, Laura has specialized in real estate marketing, becoming a licensed sales associate in 2021 and leading the brand development for Hanson Real Estate Group, Inc. in 2024.

From 2011 to 2024, she served as the Publisher and Editor of Orlando on the Cheap, a premier online resource that attracted nearly one million readers annually. As a freelance content creator, her work has appeared on major brand platforms like Buy Buy Baby and Walmart.

Laura’s career highlights include six years as Marketing and Media Manager at the Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, welcoming more than 650,000 guests annually — and yes, she got SLIMED! She even appeared as a marketing expert on the Travel Channel’s hit show Hotel Impossible.

Her professional journey in communications began at the Museum of Discovery & Science | IMAX in Fort Lauderdale. Laura obtained a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida while working as a freelance reporter for The Gainesville Sun, Gainesville Magazine, and The Independent Florida Alligator.

As a true Florida native, Laura has a deep passion for the state’s natural beauty. She was a leader in the grassroots movement to transform a defunct golf course in Seminole County into a protected, 100-acre passive park. She also spearheaded the successful effort to designate her neighborhood as a golf cart–friendly community and has hosted an annual holiday golf cart parade that’s become a tradition for eight years running.

In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, kayaking at King’s Landing in Apopka, rollerblading and biking along Seminole County trails, boating the St. Johns and Halifax rivers, riding the SunRail to new destinations, swimming in Central Florida’s natural springs, and exploring the charming towns of Sanford, Mount Dora, Winter Garden, and Winter Park.
